Meet Billyray-rock'it,

Billyray was born and raised in and around Luboc Texas and was highly exposed to the Texas Blues scene. Hangin' out around Austin in the 70's and 80's he got to meet some of the legends Like Albert Collins, John Lee Hooker and Robben Ford while being repeatedly influenced by his current favorites, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Coco Montoya and Johnny Lang.

In fact, some people may not be aware that a lot of great artists got their start while performing in this area of the country, Bonnie Raitt, Ray Charles, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Eric Clapton and Johnny Winter to name a few, and let's not leave out Buddy Holly! In spite of all of these wonderful influences, Billyray felt he was missing out on something. He needed to experience in order to create his signature sound.

That is how he found himself in Bakersfield hanging' with local players and getting' a snoot full of that famous B-town twang! And that friends, is where he ultimately met up with "THE FATTKATT" and the constitution of "FattKatt and Vonzippers" was established and the legacy lives on!
